American actress Kellie Shanygne Williams was born on March 22, 1976 in Washington, D.C. She is the oldest of the three children. She has a sister named Marti and a brother named Donte. She married Hannibal Jackson on September 5, 2009, and they have two children. She is now known as Kellie Shanygne Jackson.

Williams began her career as a children’s fashion model. She didn’t talk when she was a toddler so her father enrolled her into a theater program. She came out of her shell and she has made several appearances on stage such as Joe Turner’s Come and Gone, The Colored Museum, Butterfingers Angel, and Goin’ Home. She also did television commercials.

Kelli is best known for her role as Laura Lee Winslow in the television series Family Matters (1989) with Jaleel White. Their character had a love-hate relationship but in real life, the two were really good friends while taping for the show. After this, she started acting for the ABC television show What About Joan. In 2009, she has also worked for the Style Network program Clean House for six episodes as a substitute host for Niecy Nash.

Williams spends a lot of her time working with projects such as The Starlight Foundation International Youth Ambassador, Famous Phone Friends, Great Beginning for Black Babies, and Hollywood for Children. She enjoys dancing and singing. She has attended the University of California in Los Angeles where she resides.

Kellie has created the Kellie Williams Program in 2006 in the Washington, D.C. area to provide students with ages 14-20 the opportunity to produce a television show to air on Comcast Cable Local On-Demand. She currently has a net worth of $2 million.
