Born at Aberdeen in Washington, Kurt Cobain was an artist and musician who is best remember for being the main songwriter, guitarist and singer of the band “Nirvana”. In fact, he was one of the co-founders of this music band that went on to become very popular. His net worth stands at $100 million. Kurt was born in 1967, but he died in 1994 at the young age of 27 years.
Cobain is dead, but he lives on in the minds of all music lovers. Kurt has become an iconic figure. He was instrumental in making Nirvana a flagship band for the Generation X. But Kurt was frustrated and sometimes angry. He often said that his personal life and the music he produced were rarely understood even by those who followed Nirvana and his own music genres.
But this did not come in the way of the many praises and accolades Kurt received in his lifetime. The Rolling Stone has ranked Kurt as the 45th greatest singer of all times, and the 73rd greatest guitarist. MTV also rated him as the 7th best in their list of “22 Greatest Music Voices”. His name was also included in the list of “100 Greatest Metal Singers of all time”. All these mentions and inclusions enhanced Kurt’s fame and wealth. But as an individual he still remained unhappy and frustrated.
This caused several problems in his personal life. He struggled with his depression and heroin addiction problems. Subsequently Kurt fell ill. He also faced problems in dealing with all the fame and media attention, as also the negative publicity received because of his personal problems. He just couldn’t manage the pressure. Cobain was found dead on April 8th 1994. It was officially declared that Kurt Cobain had committed suicide. There are some people who however question this.
