Harvey Phillip Spector, Phillip Harvey "Phil" Spector, or Phil Spector as he is better known as, is a songwriter and producer from the US. He his famous as the originator of a unique production technique, which is referred to as “Wall of Sound”. Phil’s net worth stands at $100 million. His wealth mostly comes from writing songs and producing records for several top artists. He is also the founder of Philles Records. This has added to his wealth considerably because he became the sole owner of the business soon.

Phil’s best period professionally was probably between 1960 and 1965. During these five years, he came up with one hit after another. In fact, at one time, he had produced as many as 25 of the Top 40 hits. The leading artists of the time all wanted to work with him. Phil worked with John Lennon, Tina Turner, Ramones, George Harrison, and many others. The famous album of The Beatles, “Let It Be” was produced by Phil Spector. It was certainly a hit. But it achieved much more than that. Let It Be went on to become an icon, an album that would define the career of Beatles. Phil was also the producer for “Concert for Bangladesh” which went on to win the Grammy Award. Spector has been included into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame” in 1989. His inclusion is a just one, though he is not a performer.

Later in his life, Phil courted some controversies. He was charged with second-degree murder of Lana Clarkson, an actress. He was later convicted in 2009. Currently he is in prison, serving a long sentence.
