Considered as one of France's wealthiest men, Arnaud Lagerdere is the current General and Managing Partner of Lagardère SCA which is a holding company of Lagardère Group. He is the current Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Hachette SA.

After completing his master's degree at Paris Dauphine University, Lagardere started working at Lagardère Group as Director. Three years later, he became the CEO. From 1994 through 1998, he served as the Chairman of Grolier Inc. in the United States, and from 1999 through 2007, he served as the Chairman of Europe 1 - Communication. Since 2003, he has been serving as the General Partner of Lagardere Group.

Since he started working for Lagerdere Group, Arnaud has acquired shares at Warner Books, Houghton Mifflin and Vivendi Universal Publishing. In Sports, Lagerdere Group has also acquired World Sport Group, Best, IEC Sports, and Sportfive.

From 2003 through 2008, he served as the director of France Télécom, director of FIMALAC from 2003 through 2006,  and from 2003 through 2009, he was LVMH's director.

Born on March 18, 1961 in Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Arnaud Lagerdere is currently in a relationship with Jade Foret, a Belgian model.
