Currently, he sits as the founder and Chairman of the Board of CT Corp (Indonesia). Among his assets include Bank Karman (now known as Bank Mega),  Trans TV,  TV 7, Batam Indah Prospertindo, Bandung Super Mall, Corp Media, Mega Indah Propertindo, Mega Corp., Trans Corp., and CT Global Resource.

Corp Media actually owns two of top five TV stations in Indonesia and the news website Detik.com. Chairul Tanjung has also huge influence over the retail business industry. He has invested into Carrefour Indonesia, and some luxurious brand franchises like Jimmy Choo, Valentino, and Georgio Armani.
