Chinese businessman Lu Xiangyang has an estimated net worth of $3.6 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. Majority of Xiangyang's wealth is acquired from his investments in the automobile industry.

Currently, Lu Xiangyang serves as the Vice Chairman of BYD which is considered as one of the largest privately controlled automakers in China. The company is also considered as one of the biggest manufacturers of cellphone batteries in the world. Today, Lu Xiangyang is a shareholder in BYD. In 2008, his Berkshire Hathaway purchased 10% of the company's shares. During the first three quarters of 2012, BYD's profit was down by almost 94%.

Currently, Lu Xiangyang is running the investment company, Guangzhou Youngy Management & Investment Group.
