Globus was founded in 1928 by Sergio’s father, Antonio. He used a single boat that ferried tourists around Lake Lugano. Today, the U.S.-based company is now a travel empire under his guidance where he was involved in the company’s operations for more than 50 years. The firm’s portfolio currently includes several brands such as Globus, Cosmos Holidays, Avalon Waterways and Monograms.

Sergio Mantegazza is married with two children. He lets his son, Fabio, become the CEO of Monarch Travel, the family’s airline company which has been expanding its routes.
