Swiss businessman Sergio Mantegazza is the President of Group Voyagers, Inc. and he has an estimated net worth of $2.9 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. According to Forbes, he is the fifth richest person in Switzerland and is ranked 459th in the World Billionaires list.

Mr. Mantegazza has accumulated his estimated net worth of $3 billion when he joined the international group of escorted tour, river cruise, and independent travel package companies that is marketed globally as Globus or Globus Travel in the United States.

Globus was founded in 1928 by Sergio’s father, Antonio. He used a single boat that ferried tourists around Lake Lugano. Today, the U.S.-based company is now a travel empire under his guidance where he was involved in the company’s operations for more than 50 years. The firm’s portfolio currently includes several brands such as Globus, Cosmos Holidays, Avalon Waterways and Monograms.

Sergio Mantegazza is married with two children. He lets his son, Fabio, become the CEO of Monarch Travel, the family’s airline company which has been expanding its routes. By the end of the October 2012 fiscal year, the passenger traffic was up by 15.75% and its revenue per seat was up by 9%. His other son, Paolo, is the CEO of Group Voyagers, the firm’s American arm, until 2004 when he reportedly committed suicide.
