Brazilian banker and businessman Moise Safra has an estimated net worth of $2.4 billion as of March 2013 according to Forbes. He is best recognized as one of the founders of Banco Safra. The other founders of the bank were his brothers, Joseph and Edmond Safra.

Coming from a wealthy Lebanese family, his family moved to Brazil where Jacob Safra, his father, and Edmond Safra, his brother, began financing letters of credit for trade in Sao Paulo. In 2012, he made news when he purchased an $80-million office building in London. In 2006, he earned $2 billion from the sale of his stakes in Banco Safra plus all his stakes in all banks owned by the Safra family in various locations such as New York and Luxembourg.

Moise Safra was born in 1935 in Beirut, Lebanon. He is currently married to Chella. He has five children named Jacob, Ester, Edmond, Ezra and Olga Safra.
