Mexican businessman Roberto Hernandez Ramirez is the former Chief Executive Officer of Banco Nacional de Mexico (Banamex) and he has an estimated net worth of $1.83 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes.

With his estimated net worth of $1.8 billion, Mr. Ramirez is the twelfth richest person in Mexico and 831st in the world. He started building his fortune after he graduated from the Ibero-American University in 1964 with a degree in business administration.

Roberto Hernandez Ramirez had added $2 billion in stock to his fortune after Citigroup bought the Mexican bank in 2001. He remained on the board of Citigroup until 2009 after its shares have decreased in value. Currently, he is a board member of the Mexican broadcaster Televisa. He also has some investment in Hypermarcas, a Brazilian consumer goods company run by billionaire Joao Alves de Queiroz Filho.

Ramirez is also a philanthropist who has created two foundations in order to preserve the environment and the Mayan Cultural Heritage. He sits on the board of the Nature Conservancy.
