Turkish businessman Bulent Eczacibasi has an estimated net worth of $1.74 billion as of April 2016 according to Forbes. He currently serves as the Chairman of the prominent industrial group in Turkey, the Eczacıbaşı Holding. Currently, the group holds interests in consumer products, personal care products, financial services, building products and pharmaceuticals. Through time, the group expanded its interests into mining. Just last year, the group added Ataman Group into its investments.

Bulent Eczacibasi was born in 1949 in Istanbul, Turkey. His father founded the Eczacıbaşı group of companies. After attending Deutsche Schule Istanbul, he went to study at the University of London (Imperial College of Science and Technology). He then completed his chemical engineering master's degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1980, he married Oya Esener with whom he has a daughter named Esra and a son named Emre.

Together with his wife, Bulent Eczacibasi co-founded the The Istanbul Modern Art Museum  which currently houses around 1000 pieces of artworks and paintings. He currently serves as the president of IKSV (Istanbul Culture and Art Foundation) which is responsible in organizing international art festivals. In 1974, he joined the family business where he served several management positions.
