He is one of the major shareholders in five companies which are currently included in Warsaw Stock Exchange's list. These companies include Getin Holding, Open Finance, Getin Noble Bank, MW Trade and LC Corp. In 1991, he founded Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy where he was also a major shareholder. Through time, the company emerged to be one of Poland's leading leasing companies.

It was in 2009 when he decided to sell Europejski Fundusz Leasingowy to Credit Agricole for only PLN 900 million. Later on, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Credit Agricole Poland. Together with LC Corp, Leszek Czarnecki built Poland's tallest skyscraper, the Sky Tower.
