Scott McNealy is the co-founder of Sun Microsystems, and the founder and chairman of Wayin who has an estimated net worth of $1 billion. He co-founded the computer technology company along with Vinod Khosla, Bill Joy, and Andy Bechtolsheim in 1982. He took over the position of Chief Executive Officer from Kosla in 1984 who resigned a year after. After 22 years, he stepped down from the position on April 24, 2006 and turned the job over to Jonathan Schwartz.

McNealy was born in Columbus, Indiana on November 13, 1954. He is a graduate of Harvard University with a degree in economics and of Stanford Graduate School of Business for his MBA. Prior to Sun Microsystems, he was a manufacturing director at Onyx Systems, a vendor of microprocessor-based Unix systems.
