K. Dinesh is one of the co-founders of Infosys who has an estimated net worth of $860 million as of October 2012 according to Forbes. In the same year, he was ranked 69th in the list of India’s Richest People and 1153rd in the list of World Billionaires.

Infosys is an Indian multinational provider of business consulting, information technology, software engineering, and outsourcing services. Based in Bangalore, Karnataka, it is the third-largest India-based IT services company by the 2012 revenues. As of the same year, it is the second largest employer of H-1B visa professionals in the United States. Its market capitalization was $30.8 billion on March 28, 2013 which made it India’s sixth largest publicly traded company.

In 2011, Mr. Dinesh stepped down as a member of the board but still owns shares of the company. His other work is giving lectures at schools and other institutions. Also, he devotes his time to social causes especially in education and health. He sits on the board of Narayana Hrudayala, a private hospital in Bangalore. Together with his wife Asha, he funded an organ transplant institute and mobile cardiac diagnostic labs. They also plan to donate some ancestral property in Mysore for a new clinic intended for the poor.
