Rocky Wirtz is the President of Wirtz Corporation and he has an estimated net worth of $500 million. It is a diversified conglomerate based in Chicago. He is responsible in overseeing the firm’s commercial and residential real estate companies, wine distributor Wirtz Beverage Group, an insurance company Wirtz Insurance and banks in Illinois (First Security Trust and Savings) and Florida (First National Bank of South Miami). It is the parent company of Chicago Blackhawk of the National Hockey League (NHL) where he also serves as its principal owner and chairman of the club.

William Rockwell Hirtz was born on October 5, 1952. He has grown with the Blackhawks since his grandfather, Arthur Wirtz, bougt the team in 1954. In 1975, he graduated from Northwestern University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication. After almost 50 years since it was founded, he became the chairman of the team when his father died in 2007. He was responsible in its 2010 success after the Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup.

Aside from Wirtz Corporation, Mr. Hirtz is the co-chairman of the Executive Committee of the United Center with Chicago Bulls owner Jerry Reinsdorf. He is also a member of the NHL’s Executive Committee. He was named the Wholesaler of the Year by Beverage Industry magazine with its beverage company making almost $2 billion every year.
