American businessman, internet executive and venture capitalist Bo Peabody has an estimated net worth of $250 million in 2012. He is known to be one of the founders of tripod.com which is considered as one of the earliest dot.coms.

Tripod.com was created in 1992 by Peabody along with his classmate Brett Hershey and economic professor Dick Sabot. Based in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Peabody worked as the Chief Executive Officer. In 1998, the company was sold to Lycos for $58 million though it was considered as the eight largest internet site during that time.

After Tripod.com, Bo Peabody founded other companies which include Village Ventures, Streetmail (Waterfront Media) which is now called as Everyday Health, VoodooVox, FullTurn Media, UplayMe and Mezze, Inc.

Village Ventures is a Massachusetts-based venture capital firm where Peabody currently serves as the managing general partner. On the other hand, Mezze, Inc, is a hospitality group consist of three restaurants found in Western Massachusetts.
