Blake Aaron Ross was born on June 12, 1985 in Miami, Florida. At age 14, he began working for Netscape Communications Corporation as an intern. Later on, he attended Stanford University which he left shortly to focus more on work.

Along with Joe Hewitt, Ross is the co-founder of Mozilla Firefox. Together, the duo also worked on the creation of Parakey which is a new user interface specially designed to bridge the gap between the web and the desktop. In July 2007, Parakey was acquired by Facebook.
