Canadian business executive Stephen Elop has an estimated net worth of $40 million in 2013. He is best known as a former executive at Nokia. On September 31, 2010, he started serving as the chief executive officer of Nokia. On September 3, 2013, it was reported that Microsoft would purchase Nokia's mobile devices and phone business for $7.2 billion. As such, Elop would no longer serve as chief executive officer and president of the company. Furthermore, he would resign from the board of directors, and would serve as  Executive Vice President, Devices & Services until he is transferred to Microsoft.

Stephen Elop was born on December 31, 1963 in Ancaster, Ontario, Canada. Elop attended McMaster University, where he completed his degree in computer engineering and management. Just recently, he was reported to have filed for a divorce from Nancy Elop.
