Robert A. Baffert initially wanted to become a professional jockey but as his weight and built became difficult to maintain, he started venturing into training American Quarter Horses. His horses have won one Belmont Stakes, three Breeders' Cup Sprint, two Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies, two Breeders' Cup Juvenile, three Kentucky Derby, two Kentucky Oaks and five Preakness Stakes. On the international scene, Bob Baffert and his horses have participated and won at the Dubai World Cup twice.
