Mexican businesswoman, Eva Gonda Rivera, has an estimated net worth of $5.91 billion as of March 2017, according to Bloomberg. Along with her children, she is a major stakeholder at the FEMSA beverage corporation, a company that runs bottling plants and convenience stores in Latin America and Mexico.

With a fortune of $7.4 billion in 2014, Eva Gonda de Rivera was considered as the fifth wealthiest person in Mexico. Despite the recent economic slowdown in the country, her fortune rose by approximately $300 million. It was only last year when she joined Forbes' list of billionaires.

While attending the Monterrey Institute of Technology, she met her future husband, Eugenio Garza Lagüera. She was married to her husband from 1957 until his death in 2008. The couple has four daughters together. One of her daughters, Eva Maria Garza Lagüera Gonda, is married to Jose Antonio Fernandez Carbajal, the current chief executive officer of FEMSA.
