She is the younger daughter of Lee Kun-Hee who currently serves as the Chairman of Samsung. Lee Kun-Hee is now considered as the wealthiest person in South Korea. She is also the younger sister of Lee Boo-Jin who is also listed as one of richest women in South Korea. Lee Boo Jin is considered as the first ever female member of the family to have served as President of a Samsung company.

Currently, Lee Seo-Hyun acts as vice president of a Samsung subsidiary, Cheil Industries. The company is involved in fashion and luxury goods. She also serves as Vice President of Cheil Worldwide which is considered as the largest advertising firm in South Korea.

Lee Seo-Hyun is an alumna of Parsons The New School for Design. She is currently married with four children.
