Esther María Koplowitz y Romero de Juseu was born on August 10, 1953 in Madrid, Spain. She is married to Fernando Falco and she has three daughters named Carmen, Alicia and Esther.

She currently serves as the Chairperson of Esther Koplowitz Foundation, an organization that seeks to help those who are in great need. The organization offers shelters to the homeless, and provides financial means to mentally and physically disabled adults. She also built a home for children suffering from severe cases of cerebral palsy.
