Beyonce is reportedly making million for her Renaissance tour, so it appears she didn’t hesitate to spend a small fortune on her 42nd birthday recently, with much of the expensive bill going towards renting a private island for the festivities.

Insiders with direct knowledge have informed TMZ that the singer leased a location known as Mermaid Bay, comprising 11 villas situated within The Brando, a private island resort catering to the ultra-wealthy in French Polynesia.

According to the outlet’s sources, Beyoncé and her entourage arrived at the property on September 5 and stayed at least until Friday the 8th, accompanied by both adults and children.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z reportedly occupied the main residence in the Bay—a 4-bedroom villa typically priced at around $20,000 per night. The remainder of their group stayed in the other 10 villas, which offer 1, 2, and 3-bedroom options.

So, the couple easily spent six figures on just their hotel stay for a few nights, though the bill was likely higher, if they were covering the cost for the rest of their group. By Monday, Beyonce was back on tour, with her first stop post-birthday in Vancouver, Canada.

It’s unclear how much Beyonce is making in profits for her Renaissance tour, but given that tickets have been hard to find, and expensive when available, it’s expected to be one of the most lucrative tours in recent history.

It's even been reported that the tour could earn more than Taylor’s ongoing Eras tour. As per a report by Forbes in May, Queen Bey has the potential to generate nearly $2.1 billion from her "Renaissance" World Tour. This exceeds Taylor Swift's potential earnings of $1.6 billion from her "Eras" tour by approximately $500 million.

Initially, it was anticipated that Taylor would amass $600 million in total earnings from the tour. However, recent reports indicate that the pop star is now poised to accumulate a staggering $1 billion in global profits. Reportedly, she is earning an impressive $13 million for each performance.

But with both Beyonce and Taylor’s concerts being in extreme demand, it remains to be seen which entertainer comes out on top with the most lucrative tour.

Beyonce has a reported net worth of $500 million, while her husband Jay-Z’s fortune is over $1 billion. Comparatively, Taylor Swift is reportedly worth $740 million.
