It doesn’t sound like Taylor Swift is planning to take a break after her Eras world tour. Rather, she wants to capitalize on the success of one of the world’s most successful tour by launching her very first television show.

According to various reports, Taylor is discussing the potential project with screenwriter Alice Birch, who’s known for working on successful shows like Succession and Normal People.

Speaking to The Sun, a source says Taylor is envisioning a “meta-feminist” series. She was specifically interested in working with Alice after developing deep appreciation for the Succession character Shiv Roy.

This isn’t the first time Taylor has expressed interest in getting into the film and television industry. In December, it was revealed Taylor is set to make her directorial debut with a feature film with Searchlight Pictures.

Few details are known about the film, but Taylor has reportedly written the original script.

“Taylor is a once in a generation artist and storyteller. It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey,” David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield, the co-Presidents of Searchlights, said in a statement.

Prior to this, Taylor wrote and directed a short, 15-minute film All Too Well: The Short Film, which debuted at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival and Toronto International Film Festival.

The Grammy-winner also has a number of acting credits to her name. She’s appeared in films like Valentine’s Day, Cats, and 2022’s Amsterdam.

Taylor may be interested in getting more involved in directing and acting, but her music career is at its peak. With 10 studio albums behind her, she’s currently embarking on what’s expected to be the highest-grossing concert of all-time, with her Eras tour projected to make over $1 billion in profits.

The singer has been adding new dates to the world tour to keep up with the demand, as tickets are selling out in record speed.

Taylor recently gave back to her tour employees by handing out $55 million in bonuses to everyone working the tour, including dancers, sound technicians, and catering personnel The 55 truck drivers working the American leg of her tour were each given $100,000 individual bonuses.

Taylor is currently wrapping up the U.S. portion of her Eras tour, and is set to take it internationally this month.
