Travis Barker isn’t shy to spoil his wife Kourtney Kardashian, including on the latest episode of The Kardashians in which he surprised her with a diamond necklace to celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary.
However, that’s not the only reason the necklace is special – it’s also a replacement for a piece Travis gift Kourtney for Christmas, only for it to be stolen shortly after. “I had had this beautiful diamond heart necklace that Travis had gotten me for Christmas, it unfortunately was stolen,” Kourtney explained during a confessional.
“And so, Travis got me the same necklace again — a little bit more beautiful,” she added.
While the latest necklace apparently looks very similar to the original one, Travis apparently had it embellished to make it more luxe.
The episode moved from the confessional to a scene of Kourtney opening the gift. “You got my necklace back,” she exclaims as she opens the jewelry box. Travis responds by telling her it’s “bigger and it’s better” than the one she had originally, before helping her put the new piece on.
This isn’t the only pricey gift Travis has surprised Kourtney with this year alone. In April, to mark her 44th birthday, Travis gifted Kourtney a colored pencil drawing by Yoshitomo Nara.
The picture features a blonde girl in a blue dress and hat, with the words “Love! Something” written in a cloud.
While it’s a simple art piece, it has a high price tag, as all Nara works do. Travis snagged it at a Sotheby’s auction earlier in the month for a cool $160,000. The piece was previously on displayed at the Santa Monica Museum of Art.
Travis and Kourtney wed last year, after getting engaged in 2021, and they already announced they’re expecting a child together. Kourtney made the revelation at a blink-182 concert at Los Angeles’ BMO Stadium earlier this month.
Standing at the front of the audience, Kourtney could be seen holding a sign that said, “Travis I’m pregnant!” His bandmates quickly noticed before Travis went down to the crowd to passionately embrace his wife.
For now, the baby’s due date and gender remain unconfirmed.
Travis and Kourtney previously reveled they wanted a baby together and had event tried fertility treatments, though they paused IVF last year before tying the knot.
"We are officially done with IVF,” Kourtney said at the time. "We would love a baby more than anything, but I really believe in what God has in store for us. If that's a baby, I believe it will happen."
And luckily, things have worked out in the couple’s favor so far.
