Amid reports that Kanye West is preparing for a comeback to save his dwindling net worth, the rapper has launched a lawsuit at an Instagram account that’s threatening to thwart his career revival by releasing his music early.

As per TMZ, recently filed court documents, reveal that Ye has initiated legal action against anonymous individuals linked to the Instagram account @DaUnreleasedGod, alleging the improper use of his trade secrets.

Specifically, this pertains to the unauthorized posting of a substantial collection of Kanye's unreleased musical content. There are allegedly 21 instances of his music being leaked through @DaUnreleasedGod's Instagram account and an additional 11 instances through the same Twitter handle.

These leaks encompass a wide spectrum of songs, including potential chart-toppers featuring DJ Khaled and DaBaby, unreleased tracks from the "Donda" and "Jesus Is King" albums, as well as reference tracks intended for Rihanna and will.i.am.

Within the complaint, it’s noted that Kanye is currently unaware of the identities behind the Instagram page. However, he asserts a belief that the individuals responsible for the account had prior collaborative engagements with him and had executed confidentiality agreements prior to being granted access to the unreleased tracks.

The rapper contends that the dissemination of these materials constitutes a breach of those confidentiality agreements, therefore he may be entitled to significant damages.

The outlet adds that Kanye intends to update the legal filing with the identities of the individuals connected to the Instagram account once their information becomes known to him.

It's unclear how much Ye hopes to earn from the lawsuit, if anything, or if his primary motivation is simply to shut the account down.

Kanye is currently valued at $500 million. He lost this billionaire status last year, Forbes confirmed, after Adidas cancelled its long-standing partnership with his fashion brand Yeezy, following Kanye’s array of controversial behavior.

In addition to his slashed net worth, Kanye is also reportedly facing a variety of lawsuits, including one filed by his former manager as well as a $250 million defamation case filed by George Floyd’s family.

Kanye’s wife Bianca Censori has reportedly taken a leading role in his comeback, and his helping inspire new fashion designs and music. She was also recently named his Special Power of Attorney, as she’s apparently taken control of certain aspects of the rapper’s business.
