Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have welcomed a baby girl named Daisy Dove Bloom. She is their first child together. A statement from UNICEF congratulated the couple, both of whom are Goodwill Ambassadors.

According to the statement, Perry, Bloom and Baby Daisy are doing well. "We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter," the couple said. In April, Perry and Bloom announced the baby’s gender with an Instagram post that featured Bloom covered in pink shaving cream.

Perry and Bloom were rumored to be dating in January 2016 when they were spotted dancing together at a Golden Globes after-party. They were then photographed on vacations and dates before officially announcing their relationship on Instagram in May 2016. In early 2017, the couple separated before reconciling by the end of the year. In February 2019, the couple became engaged, and a year later, Perry showcased her pregnancy in her "Never Worn White" music video.

Bloom also has a 9-year-old son named Flynn with model Miranda Kerr. He repeatedly praised during her pregnancy, saying, "She's a force of nature, obviously, as we all know. But it’s been really impressive. There’s no complaining. She’s just all about it. It’s pretty awe-inspiring to see the way she handles herself at this time. It’s just business as usual."

The couple used the arrival of their daughter to urge others to support UNICEF in providing a "safe start to life and reimagining a healthier world for every child." Tomorrow, Perry’s new album, Smile, is set to be released. The singer has described the album as her "journey towards the light, with stories of resilience, hope, and love."

Meanwhile, Bloom is currently starring in the Amazon Prime series Carnival Row, which was filming its second season in Prague before production was shut down due to COVID-19. On June 1, the actor joined a number of his Lord of the Rings co-stars for Josh Gad's YouTube series Reunited Apart, which gathers the cast of popular movies through Zoom, and encourages donations to charities.
