Kim Kardashian may have her very own successful clothing brand SKIMS, but that isn’t stopping the reality star from lending her name to another huge designer, Dolce & Gabbana.

The luxury brand recently released a series of images for its Spring/Summer 2023 ad campaign featuring Kim wearing pieces from the new collection. But Kim isn’t only the face of the campaign; she had a hand in inspiring the pieces.

Dolce & Gabbana described Kim’s outfits in the images as "a singular reinterpretation of the Dolce & Gabbana 1990s and 2000s archives to which belong the same legendary garments that have so often inspired Kim throughout her life and career."

Kim made a series of posts to Instagram sharing shots from the campaign. “Visuals by @mertalas and @macpiggott recount the sensuality and allure of the new #DGSS23 campaign, presenting a collection rooted in #DGDNA and resulting in a reinterpretation of #DolceGabbana iconic archival pieces,” she wrote in one of the captions.

The photoshoot was captured at an Italian villa by photography duo Mert Alaş and Marcus Piggott, who were tagged in Kim’s post.

Kim was mostly dressed in a series of corsets and bodysuits, with touches of animal print, metallics, and rhinestones interspersed throughout.

The Kardashians star originally debuted the designed with Dolce & Gabbana during Milan Fashion Week in September. A slow motion video of Kim eating pasta played on a screen while the models walked the catwalk.

I always loved the beautiful, quintessential 90s & 2000’s looks… feminine, bold, they always made me feel so confident & glamorous,” Kim wrote on Instagram following the show.

“You could feel the moment you put on a D&G dress that the intention when it was designed & made was to celebrate the woman wearing it,” she added. “To make her feel like she could do anything, be anything, own her confidence & her beauty.”

Dolce & Gabbana and Kim’s latest campaign seems to be faring better that SKIMS’ latest advertisement. Earlier this month, the loungewear’s latest ads became the butt of many jokes for its alien theme.

The series of images, released on both Kim and SKIMS’ official Instagram account, featured the reality star modeling their latest swimwear. But what caught most people’s attention were the models surrounding Kim, who wore alien masks in addition to the new swimwear.
