Lewis Hamilton was only nineteen when he first signed a contract to race in the Formula One Championship in 2007. After taking the racing circuit by storm in 2008 by finishing nine podium finishes in a row, Hamilton signed a $45 million five-year contract with McLaren that lasted until 2012. The next year, he switched to Mercedes-Benz when the automaker offered a two-year contract wherein he earned $52 million a year, making him one of the highest-paid F1 drivers in history. Currently, the F1 star has a two-year extension contract with Mercedes until 2023, which will add a whopping $147 million to his net worth.

Mercedes-Benz

After ending his contract with McLaren in 2012, Lewis Hamilton joined hands with Mercedes-Benz for a $40 million a year deal that would include the star driving in the automaker’s car and advertising their models. According to Formula One, the contract was extended in 2021 for two years. The contract ensures that Hamilton is paid $147 million for staying with Mercedes-Benz until 2023.

Tommy Hilfiger

In 2018, Mercedes-Benz signed Tommy Hilfiger as its newest partner to join the Formula One team as the Official Apparel partner. The multi-year deal pays Hamilton $5.2 million to wear the brand’s logo on his jersey. Additionally, he also became the face of the brand for its Menswear line and launched a TOMMYXLEWIS Collection in Fall 2019 that featured clothing apparel and accessories.

Monster Energy

Based in Corona, California, Monster Energy is one of the leading energy drinks manufacturers in the United States. In 2017, the brand teamed up with Mercedes-Benz and became its global partner for $2.5 million. Along with working on Formula One advertisements, Lewis Hamilton also worked separately with the brand to launch his signature energy drink together, as reported by Monster Energy.

Puma

Puma signed a long-term deal with Mercedes-Benz F1 in 2019 to become its official merchandise retail partner for the fee of $2.61 million. Along with Hamilton wearing the brand and advertising the clothes, the company also acquired the rights to produce, design, and sell the Formula One branded products on the trackside for the gearhead fans.

Union Bank Of Switzerland

Union Bank Of has been a long-standing brand endorsement of Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes-Benz over the last decade. UBS pays handsomely to the automaker and Hamilton, upwards of $9 million. Over the years, the bank has made Formula One one of the most important aspects of the bank’s international sports sponsorship portfolio.

L’Oréal

As the most fashionable and marketable driver in Formula One, L’Oréal Paris bagged Lewis Hamilton as its brand ambassador in 2016 for its Men Expert Range, as stated by Hello Magazine. He starred in a series of social media campaigns and commercials and became a global spokesperson for the brand. The contract reportedly paid him upwards of $1 million.

Qualcomm

Qualcomm, best known for its semiconductor software and wireless technology, has been a Mercedes-Benz and Lewis Hamilton partner in innovating and creating technology to help race engineers analyze data. The company has sponsored Hamilton and his F1 partner Mercedes-Benz for $9.78 million since 2016.

IWC

Lewis Hamilton became the face of IWC in 2019 when the brand partnered with Mercedes-Benz and launched a watch series with Hamilton’s name. The deal pays him $2 million a year, and the F1 star has been an active promoter of the brand, wearing exclusive timepieces from the watchmaker and attending its launch events.

Petronas

Petronas remains the biggest brand that endorses Lewis Hamilton and has partnered with Mercedes-Benz to form Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, with him as its most profitable F1 Racer. As mentioned by The Sun, the petrol giant Petronas pays a whopping $65 million for him to wear the brand’s name higher on his chest and at the back of his jacket.

Bose

Bose's audio equipment company was a long-standing partner with Mercedes Benz since Lewis Hamilton signed with the F1 team in 2012. The contract ensured that the team used Bose devices during the game, including the Team Principal and CEO Toto Wolff wearing the headsets for races. In 2022, the $3.2 million a year long-term deal ended with Bose.

Lewis Hamilton’s other notable brand endorsements include Tibco, Wihuri, Puma, and Epson. With his deal with Mercedes-Benz being extended until 2023, Hamilton will be seen donning the outfits and merchandise of most of the brands from the above list. He is currently seen actively competing in the 2022 F1 Championship circuit.
