English actor Richard Armitage has an estimated net worth of $13 million. He is perhaps best known for his appearance on North & South as John Thornton, as well as on the Spooks TV drama where he played the role of Lucas North. Richard Crispin Armitage was born on August 22, 1971 in Huncote, Leicester, Leicestershire, England. He is an alumnus of Brockington College and Pattison College. In addition to his TV and film appearances, Armitage was also a part of several theater productions such as Six Degrees of Separation, Death of a Salesman, and The Real Thing. 

Dissatisfied with the career he chose, he decided to study at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art  to study acting. Eventually, he became a part of Macbeth, Four Alice Bakers, The Duchess of Malfi, and Hamlet productions. 

Shortly, he starred on Use Me As Your Cardigan which was followed by his first major TV appearance in Sparkhouse. This was followed by his recurring appearances in TV shows such as Doctors (2001), Cold Feet (2003), Ultimate Force (2003), The Golden Hour (2005), Vicar of Dibley (2006-2007), Robin Hood (2006-2009), and Strike Back (2010).
