Enrico Colantoni was born on February 14, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He studied psychology and sociology at the University of Toronto. Eventually, he transferred to New York's American Academy of Dramatic Arts. He was a recipient of Carol Dye Award from the Yale School of Drama. From 1997 to 2004, she was married to Nancy Snyder.  Since 2011, he has been married to long-time girlfriend Rosanna Colantoni. Currently based in Toronto, he lives with his two children, Madelyn and Quintin.

Colantoni is best recognized for his appearance in Just Shoot Me! as Elliot DiMauro, and in the TV series Flashpoint as Sgt. Greg Parker. He is also noted for his supporting roles in films such as Galaxy Quest, Contagion, A.I. Artificial Intelligence, and The Wrong Guy.
