• Kris Jenner is venturing into the world of fashion, as she has filed a trademark application to secure exclusive rights to her own name for a clothing brand.
  • This is not Kris's first attempt, as she previously pursued a similar trademark application in 2011, but it didn't lead to any tangible products or ventures.
  • Kris's daughters, including Kim with her successful SKIMS brand, have found great success in the fashion industry, and Kris hopes to follow in their footsteps with her own fashion launch.

The majority of the Kardashian women have fashion and beauty brands, and it appears the Kris Jenner is about to join their ranks, too. It appears that Kris is eager to make her mark in the world of comfortable clothing. Recent legal documents, as acquired by TMZ, suggest that the famous momager is venturing back into the realm of fashion.

The outlet explains that Kris has an active application filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, in which she's seeking to secure the exclusive rights to her own name, spelled in all capital letters as 'KRIS JENNER.'

The application outlines Kris's intention to establish a brand encompassing a wide range of clothing items, including but not limited to sweatshirts, sweatpants, jackets, loungewear, as well as footwear, socks, and headwear.

Typically, such a move suggests that a celebrity is gearing up to introduce new merchandise or launch a fresh line of products. In Kris's case, it appears she's making a second attempt, as she previously pursued a similar trademark application in 2011, where she did secure the rights to her name. However, it didn't lead to any tangible products or ventures, and the trademark was eventually abandoned in 2015.

Several of Kris’ daughters currently have successful clothing brand, including Khloe’s clothing line Good American and Kim’s billion-dollar business SKIMS.

Earlier this year, it was reported that SKIMS achieved a remarkable $4 billion valuation following Kim's successful securing of $270 million in new funding. This achievement is even more remarkable considering that the brand is just four years old.

“It has grown quickly, and we’re so proud of that,” Kim remarked of the accomplishment. “We’ve had a really good flow of product launches.”

It's evident that SKIMS' worth is on an upward trajectory, and this growth isn't solely attributed to expanding its product range. SKIMS has also confirmed its plans to inaugurate its inaugural flagship store in the United States, further contributing to its expanding value.

The company is presently preparing to launch a physical storefront in Los Angeles in early 2024. It has reportedly secured a retail space spanning over 5,000 square feet, strategically positioned on Sunset Boulevard in proximity to notable stores such as Supreme and Kilth.

SKIMS’ success has helped Kim Kardashian reach a net worth of over $1 billion.

Given her recent trademark filing, it’s clear that Kris is hoping to follow in the successful footsteps of her daughters. But it remains to be seen when and what the momager is planning for her fashion launch.
