Kim Kardashian is a reality television personality, socialite, model, and businesswoman from the United States with an estimated net worth of $780 million. She is one of the most well-known and most followed reality TV celebrities in the world.

Kim Kardashian was born in Los Angeles, California, on October 21, 1980, to Robert and Kris Kardashian. Kourtney is her older sister, Khloé is her younger sister, and Rob is her younger brother. Her mother married Bruce Jenner, the 1976 Summer Olympics decathlon champion, in 1991, after her parents divorced. Kim Kardashian gained stepbrothers Burton "Burt," Brandon, and Brody, as well as stepsister Casey and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner, as a result of their marriage.

She went to Marymount High School in Los Angeles, which is a Roman Catholic all-girls school. Her father was the attorney for O. J. Simpson, her godfather, during his murder trial in 1994. Kardashian's father died of cancer in 2003.

Kardashian gained notoriety as a close girlfriend and stylist of Paris Hilton when she was in her twenties. Kim and her two sisters launched the D-A-S-H boutique shop in Calabasas, California, in 2006, as their first business venture. An adut tape made by Kardashian and Ray J in 2002 was leaked in February 2007. She later sued Vivid Entertainment, who released the film. She dropped the lawsuit and settled for a record US$5 million. Several news organizations later chastised her and her family for releasing the tape as a publicity stunt to promote their upcoming reality show.

Kim Kardashian joined the reality television series Keeping Up with the Kardashians in October 2007, alongside her mother Kris Jenner, stepmother Caitlyn Jenner, sisters Kourtney, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian, and half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner. The series proved successful for E!, and has led to the creations of spin-offs including Kourtney and Kim Take New York and Kourtney and Kim Take Miami. In one of the episodes, Kim discussed an offer from Playboy to appear nude in the magazine. That December, Kardashian posed in a nude pictorial for Playboy.

Kim used to make about $15,000 per episode of her reality show, but now she makes $500,000 per episode. She earns between $300,000 and $500,000 for every paid Instagram post. Kim's monthly Instagram earnings are most likely in the $1-2 million range.

Kris Humphries, an NBA player, proposed to her in 2011 and they got married in 2012. The marriage only lasted 72 days. Kim made $18 million from the wedding's endorsements and broadcasting rights.

Kim has invested in a lot of properties. She paid $9 million for a mansion in Bel Air, California in 2013. She purchased a $4.8 million Beverly Hills mansion in March 2010. It's a Tuscan-style five-bedroom home on four acres in some of the world's most luxurious real estate. While the Hidden Hills property was being built, she and Kanye invested several million dollars on major renovations and lived in this house. Kim sold the Bel Air home for $18 million in 2017.

Kim makes between $50 and $80 million a year from her numerous businesses and expanding empire. Kim, for example, received $72 million from her various endeavors between June 2018 and June 2019, and then $50 million between June 2019 and June 2020.

The KKW Beauty Line, which produces over $100 million in gross sales per year, is one of her most profitable companies. Kim's annual earnings were once largely derived from royalties produced by the mobile game Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. The game has earned more than 60 million downloads and has taken in $200 million in sales. To this day, Kim keeps 28 percent of the money raised by the app. Endorsements, appearance fees, reality TV pay, and paying Instagram sponsorships make up the bulk of Kim's annual earnings. She has a tanning product line, a Sears apparel line, and a lot more.

Kim sold a 20 percent interest in KKW Beauty Line for $200 million in June 2020, valuing the company at $1 billion. According to CNW, Kim's net worth rose to $900 million as a result of the fundraising round. In 2019, she raised $5 million from Imaginary Ventures, a venture capital company, to launch the Skims shapewear brand. She revealed that her reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" will end in 2021, following a turbulent news cycle involving her husband, Kanye West.

After a heavily publicized romance and multiple appearances on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kim married musician and fashion designer Kanye West. Their daughter, North West, was born on June 15, 2013, and they married on May 24, 2014. They have four children together. However, it appears that they will get divorced in 2021.
