Kim Kardashian is known for loving the finer things in life, but she’s apparently not against passing on her passion for luxury to her children.
The reality star was recently seen wearing a $100,000 Hermes bag, speaking to how expensive her closet must cost. But her daughter North West, 10, was also seen with a striking (and expensive) designer bag at the same time, giving meaning to the phrase “Like mother, like daughter.”
Kim and North recently embarked on a luxurious journey to Japan. Upon their return to the United States, the mother-daughter duo showcased their family's opulence as they disembarked from Kim's $150 million private jet, each carrying designer bags with high price tags.
Kim took the lead as they exited the plane, both adorned in chic all-black attire. The mother-of-four paired a corset top with comfortable black trousers, epitomizing superlative style.
Her dark hair was swept back into a glossy, wet-look ponytail. Kim rounded off her outfit with comfortable black sandals, large, dark sunglasses, and chose to go makeup-free, highlighting her innate beauty.
But Kim’s best accessory was a rare Hermes Kelly Crocodile Bag, an at over $100,000. Hermes is considered to be one of the most exclusive purse designers in the world.
The brand meticulously oversees the manufacturing and circulation of Birkin bags, ensuring their exclusivity. These bags are frequently crafted on a made-to-order basis, and securing one often involves enduring waiting lists that extend over several years.
As of today, the typical cost of a Birkin typically falls within the range of $10,000 to $40,000. However, Birkin styles featuring distinctive or rare finishes can command prices far higher than this.
For instance, a 2012 design by Pierre Hardy, adorned with rose gold and diamonds, reached a staggering $2 million price tag, marking it as the most expensive Birkin to date.
Although not approaching the price tag of her mother's bag, North West was also spotted with a swanky bag - a highly coveted Louis Vuitton Takashi Murakami Cherry Duffle Bag, estimated to be worth around $7,900.
For their travel day, the 10-year old chose a relaxed and stylish outfit, donning patched blue jeans and an oversized Chicago Bulls t-shirt in vibrant red. Much like her mother, North also wore comfy black sandals and had her dark hair pulled back into a neat ponytail.
Kim and North’s recent trip to Japan wasn’t without controversy. The SKIMS founder was accused by fans of using her eldest child for a profit, since North is a regular face on Kim’s social media, whereas her three younger children are rarely seen online. So far, Kim hasn’t addressed the controversy.
