Drake is a man with many home, but now he’s adding a property in Houston, Texas to the list. He announced his new real estate investment while performing to a crown of nearly 20,000 during the second night of his 'It Was All A Blur' tour, which was held at Houston’s Toyota Centre on September 18th.

“I'm excited to share this tonight, I had to make it official first but for a long time I’ve been trying to figure out, you know, the right place for me to live – where I belong – outside of Toronto,” Drake told the crowd, which was caught in video footage that later went viral online.

“After all these years, I found me a place in Houston,” Drake went on, as the crowd cheered in response.

For now, there are few details known about the new Southern residence Drake purchased, including how much he paid or if he plans to make this his main estate.

Drake, who was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, owns multiple residences in the major city, but rumors of the rapper wanting to relocate have begun to spread following his announcement about the Houston abode.

Some theorize that Drake's relocation to Houston could be tied to potential professional opportunities within the thriving Texas music scene. Given Houston's rich musical heritage and dynamic hip-hop community, it could serve as a fresh canvas for the artist to explore new creative ventures and collaborations.

On the other hand, some suggest that Drake's move might be driven by a desire for increased privacy, especially since he hinted at retiring from his music career earlier this year.

Drake is famously protective of his privacy and has even erected a substantial barrier around his Toronto residence to ward off intruders, although fans have still managed to seek attention from one of the city's most renowned stars, which could prompt him to want something even more out-of-the-way than his Canadian address.

Last year, Drake made headlines for offloading a series of properties, perhaps in anticipation of wanting to invest in Houston.

In March, it was reported that Drake had put up a trio of his California residences for sale as a package deal, with a total price tag of $22.2 million. These properties, situated side by side in Hidden Hills, combine to create a colossal mansion. However, the singer eventually went on to sell them individually when a buyer couldn’t be secured to take them all at once.
