Although Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez reportedly signed a pre-nuptial agreement prior to their 2021 wedding, there’s a chance the pop star may have to pay her estranged husband a generous settlement amid their divorce.

Earlier this month, Ariana officially filed for divorce after months of speculation. Shortly after, Dalton filed his own response. As per TMZ, Ariana requested that their pre-nup be upheld as the divide their assets. "There are additional separate property assets and obligations of each party as mandated by the parties' Prenuptial Agreement,” the filing states.

However, that doesn’t mean Dalton won’t walk away with anything. The outlet notes that Ariana will still likely have to pay some sort of settlement, though it likely won’t be ridiculous. “As we first told you, even though there's a prenup in place, Ariana will still cut Dalton some sort of cash check ... but it won't be a crazy amount,” TMZ noted without providing a dollar figure.

Ariana Grande’s net worth is $240 million, while Dalton Gomez’s net worth is $12 million, a fortune he amassed largely from his work as a celebrity real estate agent.

Ariana and Dalton may still be legally married, but that hasn’t stopped the Victorious alum from moving in with her new partner, Ethan Slater, who’s also in the process of divorcing his wife, Lilly Jay. In July, it was reported that Ariana had started dating her Wicked co-star, Ethan, despite his wife recently welcoming their baby. However, the couple started facing backlash for the timeline of their relationship, with many people calling Ariana a homewrecker.

Ariana subsequently terminated their relationship a few weeks later, likely due to the criticism surrounding the timeline of their romance.

Moreover, Ethan's estranged wife, Lilly Jay, with whom he has been in a relationship since high school, issued a statement in which she expressed her disapproval of Ariana's actions, without directly refuting the rumors of an affair. “[Ariana’s] the story, really. Not a girl’s girl,” she told Page Six in July. “My family is just collateral damage.”

“[Lilly is] telling Ethan and others that she only cares about protecting their child,” a added to the publication. “She’s rightfully upset because her marriage fell apart, but Ariana and Ethan didn’t do anything wrong.”

Nevertheless, it was reported last week that Ariana and Ethan remain together, and they’re currently living together. Ariana and Dalton’s divorce remains ongoing.
